Youth Club Activities

This role is for those who wish to take part in our Youth activities. Whether it be indoor or outdoor activities, youth mentoring or just one doing their part for the community via volunteer work for charitable activities or events.

What We're Looking For

  • Participants who like working with children, the younger groups and the older teens
  • Preferably someone who's worked with the youth before. Either in a youth project, an a youth activity or via teaching them a particular subject.
  • Must be competent in the English language. This is important to be able to engage with the youth that attend our activities.
  • Must be of good moral and religious character and dedicated to the project. Regular absences and lateness is not accepted.
Madrasah Teacher

We have madrasah classes that teach a variety of children the Qur'an and other Islamic classes. This is a demanding role that requires a keen spirit and a dedicated mind.

What We're Looking For

  • Someone who has at least learnt one Juzz of Qur'aan by heart. Your ability to benefit us depends upon your ability to benefit our students.
  • Must be able to, and want to teach children Qur'an with tajweed. We need people who are motivated by the role and not by the pay.
  • Must be able to manage a class of 10 students, keeping them occupied with a task to complete, so a good level of multi-tasking is required.
  • Must be of sound Deen and Character. References from reputable Islamic institutes could go a long way in this application.
Events Organising & Managing

This role is a very demanding role as it would entail a good level of responsibility over events and activities, whether it be organising charitable events, indoor or outdoor activities, managing bookings and payments and more.

What We're Looking For

  • Must be motivated to push KoD to its full potential. This requires imagination, ambition and an excellent level of initiative.
  • Must be prepared to manage people, both staff and participating youth. This requires a good level of patience and good manner. Someone who smiles often yet gets things done.
  • We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of money, able to find good deals and manage a budget to a satisfactory level.
  • Must show the level of commitment and motivation that this role demands. This role requires odd hours and a level of responsibility which goes far beyond any participant.

    In this paragraph, I’m going to discuss a few reasons why practice is important to mastering skills.

    Firstly, the only way to truly learn a skill is by actually doing what you’ll have to do in the real world.
